Food Psychology for Mind and Body Certification

Food Psychology for Mind and Body

This course is designed to help you better understand your relationship to food and eating, mind and body. The course offers a mixture of theory around the psychology of eating, nutritional principles and practical tips on how to establish and sustain a healthy mindset around food and your body. It is not a diet or a meal plan.

It will guide you through a deeper understanding of your identity as an eater, as well as outline how to harness this insight, in order to create a compassionate, intuitive, healthy and freeing relationship with food, which will support your holistic wellbeing and sense of self.

Please note that the course is intended for educational purposes only; it is not a form of therapy. If you feel that you need therapeutic support for disordered eating, the course provides guidance on where to seek it.

You will learn:

  • An introduction to food psychology: the factors that underlie the what, how, why and when of our eating behaviours
  • How to recognise your own food behaviours and mindset around eating through self-awareness
  • How to make holistically healthier choices, based on intuitive, embodied insight into what wholesomely feeds and fuels your life
  • How to cultivate a mindset of self-love around food and your body
  • How diet culture has been unhealthily normalised in our society, and how we can healthily reject its influence on our eating psychology
  • How intuitive eating as a practice can help you navigate a new, healthy and balanced relationship to food, as well as to life
  • How your relationship to food and body is a mirror to your relationship with life
  • How to get help if you feel you are struggling with disordered eating
