53.1 Use Thesaurus The thesaurus is a tool that allows you to identify alternative words and phrases for existing words contained within a Word document. If you have used a word on multiple occasions throughout a document, the thesaurus can help add interest and variety to your writing. Begin by selecting the word that you wish to replace.
