23.1 Create a Table A table is a set of grids presented in columns and rows that make data easier to read. Columns descend vertically down a page, whereas rows stretch horizontally across.  Position the cursor at the point you would like to insert a table. Click the Insert tab and then Table. A group of empty squares will appear. You can then quickly create a table by dragging the cursor across and down the columns and rows before clicking once.
