26.1 MONTH Function The MONTH Function allows you to express the months of the year (January to December) as integers (whole numbers) that correspond to the number of the month in the year. For example, January would be expressed as 1, while July would be expressed as 7. In order for the MONTH formula to work, you have to have a cell in date format, e.g. with a date entered as dd/mm/yyyy or similar.
